About Cutana
Cutana was born from two meanings.
In Loja, Ecuador, a cutana is a traditional stone kitchen tool used to grind seeds, grains, and spices — a symbol of patience, care, and transformation.
It is also the place where our founder, Arturo, was born and raised, surrounded by farmland and fresh ingredients. His parents, Vicente and Yolanda, passed on a deep respect for produce, seasonality, and hard work — values that still define Cutana today.
Arturo’s earliest memories of food come from helping his grandmother, Regina, at her market food stall in Ecuador. That connection to honest, handmade cooking continues to shape everything we do.
Cutana is about taking simple ingredients, treating them with care, and turning them into something meaningful.

Our Vision
At Cutana, we are more than just a dining experience. We are a celebration of family, heritage, and innovation. Chef Arturo’s family plays a vital role in shaping the essence of Cutana. His wife, Yngrid, a wine enthusiast who loves music, curates wine pairings that perfectly complement our dishes. Their children, Arturo and Alejandro, inspire the creativity and love that goes into every plate. David’s passion for baking and Alejandro’s love for football add unique flavours of inspiration to our story.
Our goal is to share the warmth and joy of Ecuadorian culture while embracing the modern culinary world.

CHEF & FOUNDER
Arturo Camacho
After beginning his professional journey in traditional kitchens in Madrid, Arturo moved to London, where he worked in some of the city’s most respected restaurants, including Quaglino’s and Wagamama.
He later spent many years within the Gordon Ramsay group, working at Savoy Grill, where he was part of the chef team featured on ITV’s Christmas at the Savoy. He then went on to become Head Chef at London House by Gordon Ramsay.
He went on to lead the kitchen at Bancone, a Bib Gourmand–awarded restaurant, refining his approach to quality, consistency, and modern European cooking.
Alongside his kitchen career, Arturo spent over a decade running a food import–export business in Spain, gaining deep experience in sourcing, logistics, and food operations.
At Cutana, Arturo leads the creative direction of the kitchen and shapes the long-term vision of the brand.
