We are the resident kitchen at The Clement Attlee, bringing bold, honest cooking to East London.

We started with chips topped with pulled pork, and they were something else. The sauce was the real star: rich, bold, the kind that makes you mop up the plate without a second thought. Every bite made you want another. Then came the chicken wings, and there was no debate here—crispy on the outside, crispy inside too, and packed with flavour. Simply done right.
The beef burger, made with crispy pulled-style beef and melted cheese layered through it, was another win. Well balanced, well cooked, served with a generous portion of chips and two sauces that deserve their own moment. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the flavours, but they were different, memorable—the kind you don’t come across very often and don’t easily forget.
The place has two sides, and both work perfectly: downstairs is lively, ideal for a pint with friends and some food to share; upstairs is calmer, a great spot to sit back, relax, and really enjoy your meal.
And one detail that truly makes a difference: the chefs, Arturo and Henry. Friendly, approachable, genuinely passionate about what they do—and it shows on the plate.
I’ll definitely be back. I left wanting to try more, and in the end, that’s the best review you can give.
